Keeping your data secure is important to us. This page outlines how we approach security for LAPLACE.
1. Infrastructure Security
We depend on the following service providers to operate our platform:
- Akamai Cloud: Our primary infrastructure is hosted on Akamai Cloud. All servers are located in secure data centers.
- OVH: We use OVH as a reverse proxy layer to improve performance and add an additional security layer.
- Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare for DDoS protection, CDN services, and additional security features in front of our infrastructure.
- Plausible: Our analytics platform is self-hosted on Akamai Cloud. No data is shared with third parties, and we collect only anonymized, privacy-friendly metrics.
2. AI Model Providers
To power our AI features, we rely on the following model providers. When you use AI Chat, your conversation data may be sent to these providers:
- OpenAI: We use OpenAI’s models (GPT series) for AI responses.
- Anthropic: We use Anthropic’s Claude models for AI responses.
- Microsoft Azure: We use Azure AI services for certain model deployments.
- Google Cloud Vertex API: We use Gemini models via Google Cloud’s Vertex API.
- OpenRouter: We use OpenRouter to access various AI models through a unified API.
- Fireworks: We use Fireworks for fast inference on certain models.
- Together: We use Together AI for additional model inference capabilities.
- xAI: We use xAI’s Grok models for AI responses.
- Aliyun: We use Alibaba Cloud AI services for model inference.
- Baidu Cloud: We use Baidu Cloud AI services for model inference.
- Tencent Cloud (QCloud): We use Tencent Cloud AI services for model inference.
- Kimi / Moonshot: We use Moonshot AI’s Kimi models for AI responses.
- 360: We use 360 AI services for model inference.
- Bytedance: We use Bytedance AI services for model inference.
- DeepInfra: We use DeepInfra for model inference.
- DeepSeek: We use DeepSeek models for AI responses.
- Groq: We use Groq for fast model inference.
- Mistral: We use Mistral AI models for AI responses.
- Perplexity: We use Perplexity AI for model inference.
- Stepfun: We use Stepfun AI models for AI responses.
- Xunfei: We use iFlytek Xunfei AI services for model inference.
- Zhipu: We use Zhipu AI (GLM models) for AI responses.
- Cohere: We use Cohere models for AI responses.
- 01.ai: We use 01.ai (Yi models) for AI responses.
3. Data Handling
We take the following measures to protect your data:
- All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
- We store AI chat conversations for research purposes. Conversation data may be made publicly available for auditing and transparency.
- We do not sell or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
- Access to infrastructure is restricted using network-level controls and authentication.
4. Third-Party Services
When using our AI features, your data is processed by the model providers listed above according to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. We encourage you to review their policies if you have concerns about data handling.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request information about what data we have collected about you.
- Request deletion of your data from our systems.
- Opt out of analytics tracking by using browser extensions or privacy settings.
6. Security Best Practices
We recommend the following security practices when using our service:
- Do not share sensitive personal information (passwords, financial data, etc.) in AI chat conversations.
- Keep your browser and operating system up to date.
- Be cautious of phishing attempts — we will never ask for your password via email or chat.
